EEAC conference 12 October 2017, Maastricht, The Netherlands
On 12 October 2017 the 25th EEAC Annual Conference‘Towards the 2030 Agenda and beyond: European cooperation within a new citizens-science-policy interface’ took place in Maastricht, The Netherlands. European diplomacy, science-based policy advice and political commitment made the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and also the Paris Agreement possible. The participants concluded that for the implementation of the agreements more is needed: a new interface between science, policy and society.
Like many other organizations, the EEAC network is challenged by the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations, the present political and societal atmosphere, and the changing interface between science, policy and society.
